We survived another July 4th. There's a law against setting off fireworks in Kansas City, MO, but you wouldn't know that if you were in our neighborhood the past few days. I'm hoping for some peace and quiet for the rest of the weekend.
The office construction at work is moving along, but the rest of the project slated for our floor will probably go over into the beginning of the school year. I'm not so happy about that -- it's not going to be fun for the students or those of us who work there. I'm praying for a miracle or two.
The weather lately has been fabulous, aside from some impressive thunderstorms. I've been able to sit outside on the deck in the evenings and unwind.
I've not been a fast knitter these days -- still working on 1st bday sweater no. 2 for my niece. I'd better get moving or she'll be too big for it by the time I've finished! I'm knitting with an all cotton yarn, which is pretty, but I'm not enjoying working with it that much. Or perhaps I'm just distracted by lots of other things going on in life.
