I had dreams of taking off all of last week and the first three days of this week. Except
- I was delayed in calling references and interviewing candidates for a staff position at my place. Worked Mon-Wed last week doing interviews and made the recommendation before I left on Wed.
- Thursday was spent cleaning the house and grocery shopping because...
- The hubster had surgery on Friday...
- And Saturday and Sunday were spent knitting, picking up, cooking, tending to, fetching ice packs, frozen peas, etc. for the hubster. He was a much better patient than I expected, which was good because...
- Monday I had a meeting in Columbia MO. I met my carpool at 6:45am, and got back home at 7:10pm, then
- Tuesday the hubster worked half a day, then collapsed at home the rest of the day. I spent Tuesday working on cleaning up my mess of a sewing room, writing up procedures (work), catching up on e-mail (work), and cleaning the family room basement (different kind of work-- mostly hot and sweaty). I also verified that we need to buy a new vacuum cleaner. Recommendations?
- Wednesday. Sigh. The hubster stayed home. I finished cleaning up my sewing room, actually mended some items and sewed on buttons, ironed the last of the church linens I need to return, and packed up stuff to take to work tomorrow. Must finish some documentation tonight too.
I need a vacation. How about a vacation in a place where there is no phone, no e-mail, no internet and some sweet thing to bring me drinks, fresh towels for post-swim, and I can pass my time knitting, reading trashy novels and listening to the ocean?

I went and looked at FunJet, just to pretend I was going on an all-inclusive vacation, as described above. Sigh.

My brother and sister-in-law just got a Boss and love it, so thumbs up from them.

You need a vacation from your vacation, dear friend. :)

Yep, sounds like a typical vacation! ;) Sorry it was more work-filled than you hoped.
Hope you husband is recovering well from his surgery!
