We had a quiet weekend at home. Joel and I did some VERY exciting things like housecleaning. I dusted, and I HATE dusting. We also cleaned the blinds in the bedroom -- they had lots of dust and cat hair that just wouldn't come off without a wet rag. I had hung the valances in the bedroom incorrectly a while back, and so I re-hung those as well. Joel worked on replacing a rotting board around one of the windows Saturday, the grouted and painted it yesterday. I also baked, and we grilled out yesterday afternoon.
Saturday night we had wind. Lots of wind. Neither of us slept much Saturday night because of the tireless wind and its accompanying noises. By last night the wind died down some and the rain came around 3am or so. It's a rainy and cool Monday, and I'll be taking a coat to work for the first time since spring.
I'm on the Provost search committee at work, and we have four candidates coming in this week. I'm on dinner duty each night, and have several meetings with each candidate during the days. I've tried to plan out my "dressy" outfits for each day this week. Yes, there's a lot of black involved, but that's nothing new.
Time to get a move on!
