The sun is shining and the sky is this incredible color of blue -- something about October skies. I'm so thrilled because:
- It's Saturday and I'm NOT working!
- I'm taking a break tomorrow too -- not working and not going to church.
I slept late this morning. When I woke up, Portia was laying beside me, close enough that she knew I was there, but not so close to get smushed when I rolled over. Smart cat. Joel brewed coffee and made wonderful homemade waffles for breakfast. I enjoyed some bacon (mmmm, bacon) with the waffles. Took my time reading the paper.
Plans for today? Cleaning. Picking up (more cleaning). Dealing with paper (more cleaning and that fun job of shredding!). Baking some bread. Yuuum. Sitting outside and knitting if at all possible.
I've been knitting a lovely cardigan for my niece Adina. I bought the kit from
Threadbear Fiber Arts (and they're no longer selling them) but we now have them available at the Studio, although it's not listed on the online store. Call or e-mail the store for more details. It's the popular Tulip Baby Sweater featuring "Classy" from Dream in Color yarns. I have one sleeve left and the top of the neck trim. While the sweater has ties at the neck, I really didn't like that look, so I bought heart shaped pewter clasps. I will post a photo of the finished sweater!
Time to go deal with cleaning, etc. But it's a lovely day and promises to be a lovely weekend! ENJOY!
