I'm signed up for permanent absentee voter status so my ballot is automatically sent out several weeks in advance. I voted about a week ago. This means when my political party calls to tell me how to vote I can cut them off by telling them I've already voted and be done with them.

LGG, your ballot looks much different than mine. The ones we basically scan-trons with space at the top for write-in candidates. You slip the card into essentially the device as before, but now the punch has been replaced with a marker. All of the choices are still on the flip pages, not on the actual ballot like yours.

Yes, but you know I voted as you saw my sticker!
P.S.Did anyone seem upset that you were taking pictures?

Mary, I took that photo with my cell phone -- I just quietly took it out of my pocket and took the photo. No flash, no noises (of course!). I'm really funny about my noise/sound settings as you know. So no one was alerted to the fact that I was taking a photo.

I miss the big metal levers. That was such a thrill, voting that way. Yay for voting, no matter how!

Yes, and I'm thankful for two things: 1, that the lines were short, and 2, that I no longer have to hear those annoying political ads for awhile!
