It's Labor Day

Last night we told Portia (Her Furry Highness) that Monday was Labor Day and we didn't have to go into work.  So she didn't have to wake us up early.

Ha.

I've been getting up around 5am these days, and sure enough, Portia decided to wake us up around then.  She does this by rattling the mini blinds on the window closest to my side of the bed.  I got up, raised the blind (hoping it's out of her reach, it wasn't), and went back to bed.  As soon as I got the covers over me, she rattled them again.  Around 6am, I gave up and got up.  Now she's looking at us as if to say, "why haven't you showered yet?" 

I think Joel and I will be napping this afternoon.

Razz woke us up early this morning as well but after his bathroom break and snack we put him in bed with us so we could go back to sleep! Felt so good to sleep in for once. Hooray for Monday holidays!!!

Hey, I got two naps in today, so I'm pretty happy! And we grilled out for dinner. A lovely day at home.
