Check out Skype. It's a beautiful thing. Why? Because my husband's oldest brother and family live in Israel. We can call him to see how he and the family are doing (particularly with the current conflict) and hear that they're safe. And it doesn't cost us an arm and a leg to do so.
My brother-in-law and his family live in Haifa, Israel. Right now they're in Jerusalem, at least until things settle down. So, especially for those of you with loved ones halfway across the world, check out Skype. Calls from one computer to another for free.
I didn't realize they lived in Haifa. I'm happy to hear they are presently out of the line of fire. My best to your family.
