And I'm not talking about venison meat. I was looking out the back door this morning to see three young deer visiting the edge of the field and our backyard. Two of them came down into our yard and beside the house. Portia watched quietly and intently.
Joel was delighted that the deer did NOT eat his plants, but instead were eating existing plants and leaves off of the field trees.
I love watching deer walk around on those tiny, spindly legs. They don't seem big enough to hold up their bodies, but somehow it all works!

I just love that you get to see so many wild critters! I hope they never build up that area behind your house!

That would make for a nice, relaxing morning, watching deer while eating breakfast. Would be just one more reason why I wouldn't want to drag myself to work!
