Flexibility

I was going to visit my family in Virginia for a week, starting tomorrow.  I say "was" because Joel's dad is quite ill (prayers are appreciated), and Joel's flying out on Friday to be with his family. 

Mom is understanding -- and I just have this inner sense that I should cancel that trip and stay home -- or be ready for what Joel needs.  He's been there for me -- I need to be there for him.

But I'm still taking tomorrow as vacation.  Need a little break.
